Goodness, gracious… great balls of fire!

The painting splurge continues!

Following on from Mike McVey’s gorgeous (Gruesome? – Ed) Ghoul, we just knew that we had to get the Mantic Point miniatures painted. The focal point of our book is on big armies and, naturally, to lead a large army you need a very powerful, and very special leader. And that requires a very special paintjob.

The Elf General and Undead Necromancer, the top flight rewards from our Mantic Points scheme, are highly detailed sculpts that will never go on sale, and here we have a work in progress shot of Mhorgoth the Faceless, painted by David Heathfield. Please make sure you click on the thumbnail below.

The final figure will be finished very soon, and we hope to be showing it off to as many people as possible – maybe even take it some of the events we are going to this year!

Why was his mask changed from the artwork? the cross mask looked cool. This is also cool, but it seems sort of like the helmet from LOTR’s mouth of sauron, which doesn’t mesh with the rest of the figure.

I agree about the head, and the energy balls don’t work for me sorry either.

Sorry, I love you guys and I feel guilty for being negative, but just my initail opinion.

I’m sure I will get beaten in the Mantic Fanatics group for this on Warseer.

  4. Hi Marcel,

Have you got a link to that group on Warseer as I can’t seem to find it…or was you just joking…?

  5. @ Madan.

You have to be a registered member of Warseer. If you are, or if you join, go to your user profile screen and in the lower right you should see a prompt to join user social groups. Look forward to seeing you there.

  6. Nice…but i think he could be better in purple clothes.
