Mantic Open Day Part 2

As promised, today we’ve got some more pics of our fantastic Open Day – who can believe it was only last weekend!

One of the highlights of the day was getting to meet the celebrities. These are people you’ve probably heard of in some capacity, and this was your chance to meet them and talk to them about their specialist skill or their involvement in Mantic. Not only was Bob present sculpting special additions to the Undead sprues from the Undead Army Set, but Mike McVey was painting Zombies and the guys from Golem were giving painting lessons throughout the day!

Of course, one of the many highlights of the day was Gaarew bringing in his own Dwarf army and soundly beating Mr Cavatore at his own game. Many other games were played too using Mantic’s Demo armies.

The day was an absolute blast and the Mantic staff chose to celebrate in very different ways – to some, the euphoria was too much, others just had to sit down…

Yay! This means it is only 51 weeks until the next one!

  2. If there’s one thing yousimply just can’t have enough of…….it’s Fanatics πŸ˜€

Was a great day! Thanks once more to all at Mantic for having us!
    Until next time!

  3. Well, looks like every good rules designer has to loose when he is playing his own baby ;).

  4. It’s funny, everytime someone says they are a “Mantic Fanatic” I get a wonderful mental picture of them dressed up in a black dress and hood (with the Mantic symbol on their hat) wielding a ball and chain and causing massive collateral damage….

    Anyway…

Looks like the Open Day was great fun (I would have loved to attend if I were not on the other side of the ocean) and I would like to thank Mantic for the great deals (and the opportunity to purchase the engineer with drill). I hope this is the beginning of a long tradition.

    regards,
    Steven

Steven, you should see the Mantic Fanatics pictures on Warseer…

  6. Sounds interesting….
I might go take a look but warseer is a big place. Where exactly should I be looking, on the Mantic board perhaps (or somewhere more specific)?

    Speaking of Fanatics….

Maybe Manitc should have a “Mantic Fanatic costume contest” when the goblins/orcs are released, give a prize to their greatest Fanatic or something? (Goblin in Black plastic maybe?)

    regards,
    Steven

    Steven,

check the public user groups, or look up the profiles of lord marcus, Da Eavy or gaarew, it should be linked in the bottom right of that screen.

    Cheers,

    John.

Black plastic Goblins eh? There will be talk of Red Dwarfs soon too I’ll wager πŸ˜‰

  8. Only if each model comes with an order of Chicken Vindaloo….

Maybe they will be released with Mantic’s new line of “space cats” (very stylish space cats I might add)….

    regards,
    Steven

  9. Vote #1 for a Dwayne Dibley mini! πŸ˜€
@Steven PM one of the guys Gaarew mentioned over on Warseer. Look for one of us in the Mantic Games Sub Forum there.
