Store Spotlight – Mountain Gremlin Games

This week we have another Store Spotlight featuring the Mountain Gremlin Games store located in Chesterfield in Derbyshire, UK. Over to you Tim:

A familiar story to you all I’m sure. I’m a tabletop gamer who started with some familiar titles back in the late 80s/early 90s.  I always wanted to run an independent games shop, like the one I used to go to as a teenager.  I learned so much there about gaming, painting and the variety of gaming products.

Fast-forward to last year and I’m trying to open Mountain Gremlin Games.  One of the benefits of running your own business is choosing which companies products you want to stock.  I always knew I would be stocking Mantic.  The value is excellent and the games are incredibly well written.

I’m a huge fan of Kings of War, The Walking Dead and I’m getting into the Warpath/Deadzone universe.  My store armies are on standby to show people how to rules work and regularly see action in store and at my local club Chesterfield Open Gaming Society (COGS).

My store philosophy is:

  • Gaming doesn’t have to complicated.
  • The rule book and source materials are merely the beginning and certainly not the be all and end all of the universe.
  • It’s your game, your army, your character, your decision.
  • Have fun!

Deadzone is a massive hit here and we are looking at running a campaign in the Winter!

Right now I’m marshaling my Undead for the forces of Good.  So we can hopefully defeat the forces of the Evil in the current Edge of the Abyss campaign. Though a number of our guests here at the store have other ideas…

You can find Mountain Gremlin Games at the following:
